Alimentaria and Hostelco Fira Barcelona
Alimentaria, the largest fair in the food and beverage sector in Spain and one of the most important in the world, together with Hostelco — The Hotel & Restaurant Trade Show, have filled more than 100,000 square meters of net exhibition space at Fira Barcelona fairgrounds and have brought together 4,500 exhibiting companies from 70 countries.
Impress the visitors number of this edition, 150.000 of 156 countries, which supposed an economic impact of about 200 million euros.
The great fairground platform of the food and hospitality industry formed by Alimentaria and Hostelco has achieved “a great success of convening, internationalization and business”, have highlighted the organizers.
The president of Fira Barcelona and Alimentaria, Josep Lluis Bonet, appreciated “the success of having opted for the simultaneity of the two trade shows, which has allowed to promote the existing complementarity and to offer, thus, a great business platform and networking for professionals of so important sectors for the Spanish economy”.
For his part, the president of Hostelco, Rafael Olmos, has assessed that “this new common platform will reinforce the growth of a sector of equipment for the hotel trade, catering and communities already fully recovered and will consolidate the internationalization of this industry”.
Alimentaria wants to continue consolidating itself as a show with international reference in its field and, for the income it generates, it is the second most important show for Fira Barcelona behind the Mobile World Congress.

The trade show display has stood out thanks to several factors such as its design, the quality of the used materials, the assembly, the graphics and to the professionals from Identty, Adam ExpoStand and Tiller Systems involved.
